Carinetini

体はがっしりしていて、前方と後方で細くなる。
前胸背は短く、縁は斜めになっている(輪郭が三角形状になっている)。

前胸背より中胸背は長い。
前翅は通常は透明であるが一部の種では強い暗色斑をもつ。
属によっては♂外部生殖器のclaspersおよびbasal lobeが複雑に発達する。
