♂背弁を欠く。
頭部は狭く、単眼が互いに近づく。
後頭楯は大きく斜めで三角形状に突き出ている。
後翅の翅縁室は非常に狭い。
♂外部生殖器のpygofer lateral lobeはよく発達し、後方に突起が突き出ている。
※外見が似るアフリカの個体群は別族に移っている[3]
