特徴[1]
(元々同一の種とされていたPurana tigrinaに対して)
・♂腹弁は短く、第2腹板を超えない。先端は尖らず、縁が腹板と並行に広がる。
・口吻は長く、第2腹板の後縁まで伸びる。
・第4腹板の疣状突起はは第3のものとほぼ同じ大きさ。
・♂外部生殖器uncusは台形であり、三角形状ではない。
・後頭楯には横溝の黒い模様がない。
(同じインド産のIndopurana morrisiに対して)
・口吻は長いが、第3腹板の疣状突起までは伸びない。
・後頭楯には横溝の黒い模様がない。
・前胸背の模様は薄い。
・中胸背の模様も薄く、側方の模様は連続しない。
・♂外部生殖器は最も区別するのに有用で、uncusは五角形(morrisiでは細長い三角形）
